Having your own back through the currents of life

A conversation about the body, trauma, and returning to yourself – with Camille Vienne

In this episode, I’m joined by my dear friend and colleague, trauma therapist Camille Vienne. What began as a spontaneous conversation unfolded into something tender, raw, and real — a deep exploration of the body’s wisdom, survival patterns, and the invisible layers of shame, stress, and not-enoughness that quietly shape the way we move through life.

We speak about the subtle compensations we carry in our bodies. The freeze states that can look like high-functioning. The pressure to perform, to be productive, to hold it all together. And we speak about the slow return — the softening — that becomes possible when we begin listening to the body’s quiet signals.

This is a conversation for anyone who has ever pushed through too much.
For those who long to exhale, to reclaim their voice, and to meet themselves in the midst of old patterns — not with judgment, but with presence.
